Adventure Novel Cenote Gold Supports Big Bend Conservancy with April 30 Amazon Launch
A new novel launching on Amazon this
month is pairing fiction with regional support. Beginning April 30, the
ebook edition of Cenote Gold will be available for $2.99,
with $1 from every ebook sold donated to Big Bend Conservancy.
Set in motion by a stolen artifact
and a ransom demand, Cenote Gold is a fast-paced adventure that moves
from the Yucatán to the Texas borderlands. The novel follows Rob Johnson, whose
impulsive decision to pocket a gold chain discovered in a cenote quickly
spirals into danger. To save him, Nicholas Marz—a capable, unconventional West
Texas naturalist—sets out in his custom VW Westfalia camper to deliver ransom
gold, only to turn the tables and launch a dangerous escape.
The book’s themes of risk, pursuit,
survival, and borderland unpredictability are matched by its strong connection
to the landscapes and culture of Big Bend country and the Trans-Pecos.
That regional identity is one of the reasons the author chose to connect the
book’s release to a donation effort supporting Big Bend Conservancy.
For readers with a love of West
Texas, desert landscapes, the Rio Grande corridor, and the remote beauty of the
borderlands, Cenote Gold offers both entertainment and a cause-related
purchase.
“This book is an adventure first,”
said the author. “But it’s also rooted in a genuine appreciation for the Big
Bend region. Donating a dollar from every ebook sale to Big Bend Conservancy is
one way to turn that appreciation into something tangible.”
The novel is expected to appeal to
fans of action-adventure, humorous crime fiction, and stories with a strong
Southwestern setting.
